If you are reading this blog then you know as well as I do scrapbooking is fun and relaxing, just like any hobby should be. However, as much fun as a hobby is, you may find it has its fair share of challenges too! To help you avoid falling into the cheap scrapbook trap (as we like to call it!), we thought it would be helpful to look at the challenges you may run into trying to create a successful book. First of all, creating a cheap scrapbook is not always going to consist of exciting moments with a successful outcome. Frankly, your scrapbook may be a bust in your first attempts. Sorry, but that is the sad truth and probably one of the biggest challenges scrapbooking folks have to learn that are new to this hobby. This may sound a bit bizarre so be prepared for what we call the fear of failure. The thought of not creating a successful work of art, can be the most dreaded fear for a first time scrapper! You artwork may be dull, the pages repetitious, the content boring, pages don’t flow smoothly and so on!
So what do you need to do to avoid the trap of producing a poor scrapbook and being letdown? I suggest you begin by making an album you think will not be so great and may actually be a draft of sorts! If it turns into something any better than a failure, then you are going to be in for a nice surprise. The most challenging part of our suggestion we are offering to you today is to realize and understand that sometimes you will not be successful and it may be somewhat disheartening, but don’t give up! In other words, try not to be so hard on yourself. Be patient and allow some time to grow as you try different creative approaches and options. Rest assured after you have painfully gone through the scrapbooking process a few times you will begin to recognize the necessary tools that work best for you to create an awesome cheap scrapbook.
I hope you are beginning to get the big picture that unsuccessful attempts at something will eventually result in a successful outcome, as you gain more experience. We all know we have our good days and bad, but the true difference in being successful comes from one essential ingredient, experience. Here is the perfect example: you give a few people the exact batch of materials and the same amount of time to produce a cheap scrapbook. Of course, the result is one book will be better. That’s just the way things happen but you can count on one important fact is that the person who has more experience will be the one that produces the masterpiece! Remember, with each accomplishment you achieve, through trial and error, you will gradually find your groove and discover how your experience and continued perseverance will help you to produce a masterpiece in time! So hang in there, stay positive, avoid the trap and keep scrapping! Success is on the horizon!
